Reaction Steps

A solution of 35 mg of 14e in 250 μl of pyridine was treated with 30 μl of acetic anhydride and a catalytic amount of DMAP. After stirring ½ hr the reaction mixture was diluted with 400 μl of water and stirred for an additional 1 h. The precipitate was filtered, washed with water and dried to give 31 mg of crystalline white 14f;
