To a solution of the product of example 1 (3.6 g, 9.57 mmol) in MeOH (40 ml) was added K2CO3 (2.7 g, 19.5 mol). The mixture was stirred at room temperature for about 1 hour and then filtered. The filtrate was concentrated into dryness to give the titled product (crude yield 100%) as yellow solid, which was used directly in next step.
