Reaction Steps

To a solution of ethyl 2-(3-(4-(4-chlorophenoxy)phenyl)-2-oxo-4-(3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)imidazolidin-1-yl)acetate (12.0 mg, 0.023 mmol) in EtOH (0.5 mL) is added 1N NaOH aqueous solution (115 μL, 0.12 mmol). The mixture is stirred at room temperature overnight before removal of the solvent. The residue is purified by preparatory LC/MS to provide the title compound; HPLC-MS calculated for C26H22ClF3N2O4 (M+H+) 491.1, found 491.1.
