Procedure
5-Bromo-2-((6-chloro-3-pyridinyl)sulfonyl)pyridine (298 mg, 0.89 mmol), NH4OH (aqueous, 3 mL), and EtOH (3 mL) were added to a high-pressure reaction vessel. The vessel was sealed and heated at 120° C. for 2 h. After cooling to room temperature, the solvent was partially removed under vacuum. The white precipitate obtained was filtered, washed with ether, and dried under vacuum to provide 5-((5-bromo-2-pyridinyl)sulfonyl)-2-pyridinamine (280 mg) as a white solid that was used without further purification.
