To a solution of 1-(4-aminopyrrolo[2,1-f][1,2,4]triazin-7-yl)-2-chloroethanone (500 mg, 2.37 mmol) in DMF (40 mL) at −40° C., was added 1,3-dibromo-5,5-dimethylimidazolidine-2,4-dione (339 mg, 1.19 mmol). The reaction was allowed to stir for 1 hr while warming to rt. A precipitate had formed and the reaction was filtered and the precipitate was washed With Et2O to afford 360 mg (52%) of the desired product as a white powder. 1H NMR (300 MHz, DMSO-d6) 8.12 (s, 1 H), 7.53 (s, 1 H), 5.10 (s, 2H); LC-MS (m+H]+=291, RT=2.51 min.
