Procedure
3-Chloro-6,7-dimethyl-N(1H-tetrazol-5-yl)-2-quinoxalinecarboxamide (Example 14) (3 g) was added to a solution of sodium (0.46 g) in 2-dimethylaminoethanol (20 ml) and the mixture was heated at 100° in an atmosphere of nitrogen for 5.5 hours and evaporated. The residue was dissolved in water and the solution was acidified with dilute hydrochloric acid. The solid was crystallised from dimethylformamide and had m.p. 247°-248° (d) (15%).
