Reaction Steps
Through a solution of 0.250 g (0.503 mmol) of tert-butyl(3 S)4-[(4-{[4-(acetyloxy)-2-butynyl]oxy}phenyl)sulfonyl]-2,2-dimethyl-3-thiomorpholine carboxylate in 10 mL of dichloromethane was bubbled hydrogen chloride gas for 10 minutes. The reaction was then stoppered and let sit overnight at room temperature The solvent was evaporated to give 0.192 g of (3S)-4-[(4-([4-(acetyloxy)-2-butynyl]oxy)phenyl)sulfonyl]-2,2 dimethyl-3-thiomorpholine carboxylic acid as a colorless oil. Electrospray Mass Spec 440.1 (M−H)−
