Reaction Steps
A suspension of Intermediate 2 (181 g), methyl trifluoroacetate (218 ml) and methanol (2.6 l) was stirred for 2 h. The solvent was then removed in vacuo to afford the title compound as a cream solid (355 g). Mass spec. MNH4+ (found) 214 MNH4+ (calculated) 214
