Reaction Steps
16.8 g of benzyl (2S)-2-[N-((1S)-1-ethoxycarbonyl-n-nonyl)amino]propionate maleate and 200 mg of palladium black are treated in the same manner as described in Preparation 6-(2). The residue is crystallized with a mixture of ether and n-hexane. 7.42 g of (2S)-2-[N-((1S)-1-ethoxycarbonyl-n-nonyl)amino]propionic acid are obtained as colorless crystals. Yield: 75.9%
