To a suspension of 6 g of 2-amino-4,6-dimethoxypyrimidine in 25 ml of tetrahydrofuran was added a solution of 8 g of the isocyanate prepared in Example 3 dissolved in 25 ml of tetrahydrofuran. After an initial exotherm, the solution was stirred at 25° C. for 16 hours, to yield a precipitate. The mixture was filtered, and the solid was recrystallized from acetonitrile to yield 1.5 g of the title compound; m.p. 161°-164° C.
