Procedure

A mixture of 1-benzyl-4-((1-methyl-4-phenylpiperidin-4-yl)methyl)piperazine (1.5 g, 4 mmol) and 20% PdOH/C in methanol (50 ml) was shaken in the hydrogenation bar under H2 50-60 psi for 18 hours. The mixture was then filtered and the solvent removed in vacuo to afford desired product.
