Reaction Steps
The title compound is generated from 2-methyl-1-(4-nitro-2-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-1H-imidazole (Stage 152.2) by hydrogenation in the presence of Raney-Ni in MeOH during 14 h at rt: Rf (MeOH/CH2Cl2=1:5): 0.42; M+H=242.0; m.p.=217-219° C.
