1-Butyl-2-oxo-1,2,5,6,7,8,9,10-octahydrocycloocta[b]pyridine-3-carboxylic acid (B-01) (416 mg, 1.50 mmol) was dissolved in toluene (15 ml), and to the reaction mixture was added thionyl chloride (328 μL, 4.50 mmol), and the reaction mixture was reacted at 65° C. for 20 min. The reaction mixture was evaporated under reduced pressure to give 1-butyl-2-oxo-1,2,5,6,7,8,9,10-octahydrocycloocta[b]pyridine-3-carbonyl chloride (B-02).
