Reaction Steps
Bis(1,2,2,6,6-pentamethyl-4-piperidyl)itaconate 2.6 g (6 mmole), decene-1 0.6 g (4.3 mmole) and dicumyl peroxide 0.05 g were dissolved in 14 ml of toluene and heated and stirred at 150° C. for seven hours. The solvent was distilled off, and a pale yellow solid was obtained.
