Procedure

A mixture of 84 g of hexamethylene diisocyanate and 100 g of ethyl acetate is slowly added at temperatures of from 25° to 35° C. to 142 g of N-methyl-2-isopropylhexahydropyrimidine ##STR17## in 150 ml of ethyl acetate. Stirring is continued for 8 hours at room temperature after the reaction has been completed and the ester is finally removed on a rotary evaporator at 100° C. and at 25 mbar.

Workup

  1. customthe ester is finally removed on a rotary evaporator at 100° C. and at 25 mbar
