A mixture of 140 mg of 2-(3-pyridin-3-ylpropanoyl)-N-(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yloxy)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline-6-carboxamide, 1 ml methanol and 1.5 ml of an aqueous, 0.1 M HCl are stirred for 3 h. Additional 2 ml of a 2N aqueous HCl are added and the mixture is stirred overnight. The mixture is lyophilized. 117 mg of the title compound are obtained as colorless oil. MH+=326.1
