A mixture of 110 mg 2-(tetrahydrofuran-3-ylcarbonyl)-N-(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yloxy)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline-7-carboxamide in 6 ml methanol and 6 ml 0.1 N aqueous hydrochloric acid is stirred overnight at ambient temperature. Subsequently, the reaction mixture is evaporated. The residue is dissolved in a mixture of water and acetonitrile and lyophilized. The crude product is purified by silica gel flash chromatography. 20 mg of the title compound are obtained as colorless solid. MH+=291.1
