To a solution of {1-[5-(1-methyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-pyridin-2-yl]-cyclopropyl}-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (1.1 g, 3.5 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (15 mL), 4.0M HCl in dioxane (4.35 mL, 17.5 mmol) was added. After stirring overnight, more 4.0M HCl in dioxane (4.35 mL, 17.5 mmol) was added to the solution. After another 12 hours, the solution was concentrated in-vacuo to yield 800 mg of the title compound.
