A mixture of trans-4-trifluoromethyl-cyclohexanecarbonyl chloride (17.3 g, 80.6 mmol) and THF (150 mL) is added dropwise at 15° C. to conc. NH3 (400 mL). The reaction mixture is stirred for 15 min, concentrated and the precipitate is filtered off, washed with water and dried to give the sub-title compound.
