2-Methoxyethanol (550 μL, 6.94 mmol) is added at rt to KOtBu (750 mg, 6.35 mmol) in THF (30 mL) and it is stirred for 5 min. 2,6-Dichloro-N-(trans-4-trifluoromethyl-cyclohexyl)-nicotinamide (2.00 g, 5.86 mmol) is added to the reaction mixture and it is stirred for 10 min at rt. The reaction mixture is diluted with water, filtered and the filtrate is concentrated. The residue is treated with water, filtered off, washed with water and dried.
