Procedure
A mixture of 2-chlorobenzoxazole, 4-(2-hydroxyethoxy)-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine and K2CO3 in 2-butanone was refluxed for ten hours. The hot mixture was filtered to remove K2CO3. After removal of solvent, the product I was obtained by washing the residue with heptane.
