Procedure
To the solution of 2-(2-azido-1,1-difluoro-ethyl)-pyridine (example 59c, 1 g, 5.4 mmol) in ethyl acetate (50 mL) was added 10% palladium on carbon (0.5 g). The reaction was carried out under H2 in a balloon at room temperature for 2 h. after removal of catalyst, the solvent was concentrated to afford 2,2-difluoro-2-pyridin-2-yl-ethylamine (0.84 g, 98%) as a light yellow oil. LC-MS m/e 158 (MH+).
