Procedure

1.0 G. of p-chloro-N-(2-morpholinoethyl)-thiobenzamide hydrochloride is boiled in 100 ml. of methanol with 35 ml. of 1,2-butylene oxide for 14 hours under reflux. The mixture is evaporated to dryness. The residue is recrystallized from isopropanol, and 0.6 g. of p-chloro-N-(2-morpholinoethyl)-benzamide is obtained, which is identical to the product obtained in Example 1.
