Reaction Steps
564 mg (0.97 mmole) of H-Cys(Trt)-Ser-Leu-OH.H2O (Chem. Ber. 103, 2034 (1970)) are dissolved in a mixture of 2.5 ml of ethylmercaptan and 2.5 ml of trifluoroacetic acid. The mixture is left to stand for 30 minutes at room temperature and the batch is poured into 50 ml of water. The aqueous phase is extracted three times with ether and is freeze-dried.
