A solution of 6-bromo-4-chloro-2-(2-hydroxyphenyl)quinazoline (75 mg, 0.22 mmol), (R)-2-hydroxy-4-methyl-1-piperazin-1-yl-pentan-1-one (60 mg, 0.3 mmol), triethylamine (42 μL, 0.3 mmol), and CH2Cl2 (2 mL) was stirred at room temperature overnight. After diluting with CH2Cl2, the reaction mixture was washed with H2O, dried over Na2SO4, and concentrated. The crude material was purified by silica gel chromatography using 0-10% MeOH/CH2Cl2 to give (R)-1-{4-[6-bromo-2-(2 hydroxyphenyl)-quinazolin-4-yl]-piperazin-1-yl}-2-hydroxy-4-methyl-pentan-1-one (40 mg, 36%).
