0.073 g of 6-(3-(3-fluorophenylsulfonyl)quinolin-8-yl)octahydro-1H-pyrrolo[3,4-b]pyridin-1-ium chloride were prepared by analogy to the methods of Examples 27 and 28 by coupling of 3-(3-fluorophenylsulfonyl)-8-iodoquinoline with commercially available octahydro-pyrrolo[3,4-b]pyridine-6-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester and subsequent deprotection of the tert-butyl-oxycarbonyl derivative with HCl in isoproanol.
