To a solution of 7-hydroxy-5-azaspiro[2.4]heptane (1.23 g, 11.0 mmol) in THF (40 mL) was added 3-bromopropanol (2.3 g, 16.65 mmol) and Et3N-(2.24 g, 22.2 mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred at rt for 12 hrs and then concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by a silica gel column chromatography (100:50:2(v/v/v)EtOAc/CH3OH/Et3N) to afford the desired compound as orange oil (1.14 g, 60%).
