20 mg of 4-(2,4-Bis(benzyloxy)phenyl)piperidine-1-carboxylic acid pyridin-2-ylamide are dissolved in 20 ml of ethyl acetate and then 1 ml of methanol is added. 10 mg of palladium-on-charcoal at 10% are added, and then the reaction mixture is stirred for 18 hours under a hydrogen atmosphere. The mixture is filtered and the residue is then crystallized from an ethyl acetate/heptane mixture. 5 mg of 4-(2,4-dihydroxyphenyl)piperidine-1-carboxylic acid pyridin-2-ylamide. Yield: 39%
