Reaction Steps
Prepared from methyl 8-chloro-4,10-dihydro-4,10-dioxo-1H-1-benzopyrano-[3,2-b]pyridine-2-carboxylate (4.5 g, 0.015 mole) and n-propyl iodide (9.1 g, 0.054 mole) by the method described for Ex. 7. Recrystallization from methanol gave white crystals (1.77 g, 35%), m.p. 240°-244°.
