To a solution of (S)-tetrahydrofuran-3-yl ((R)-1-(2-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-7-methylquinazolin-4-yl)piperidin-3-yl)methylcarbamate in 12 mL CH2Cl2 was added dropwise 2.0 M HCl solution in ether (0.13 mL, 0.25 mmol). To the solution was then added 20 mL ether leading to the precipitation of ((S)-tetrahydrofuran-3-yl ((R)-1-(2-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-7-methylquinazolin-4-yl)piperidin-3-yl)methylcarbamate hydrochloride which was filtered and dried (116 mg, 92%). LC/MS: m/z 463.5 (M+H)+ at 2.33 min (10%-99% CH3CN (0.035% TFA)/H2O (0.05% TFA)).
