Procedure

To Z-α-methoxyimino-2-phenoxyphenylacetic acid methylester acid VI' (0.29 g, 1.0 mmole) were added dried methanol (3 ml) and 10% hydrochloric acid solution in methanol (0.36 g, 1.0 mmole) and the mixture was heated under reflux for 6 hours to conduct isomerization.
