(-)-8,9-difluoro-2-(R)-methyl-6-oxo-1,2-dihydro-6H-pyrrolo[3,2,1-ij]quinoline-5-carboxylic acid (Compound (b)) and N-methylpiperazine were used, and treated in a manner analogous to Example 7, to give the title compound.
