Reaction Steps
A solution of 3-(4-bromo-3-nitrobenzoyl)propionic acid in ethanol was treated with ion filings and aqueous hydrobromic acid. The residue after evaporation under reduced pressure was treated with water to give 3-(3-amino-4-bromobenzoyl)-propionic acid.
