0.3 g (1.47 mmol) of 1-(2-oxo-2-pyridin-3-yl-ethyl)-pyrrolidin-2-one prepared from Example 20 and 0.18 g (2.21 mmol) of methoxyamine hydrochloride salt were treated as described in Example 22 to obtain 0.24 g (70% yield) of 1-(2-methoxyimino-2-pyridin-3-yl-ethyl)-pyrrolidin-2-one as E/Z mixture (2.38:1).
