Procedure
A solution of 0.071 g (0.135 mmol) of tert-butyl 5-[4-({3-[(hydroxyamino)carbonyl]-2,2-dimethyl-4-thiomorpholinyl}sulfonyl)phenoxy]-3-pentynylcarbamate from Example 245, 1 mL of trifluoroacetic acid and 3 mL of dichloromethane was stirred for 1.5 h. The solution was concentrated in vacuo and the residue was triturated with ether to provide 0.058 g (79%) of 4-({4-[(5-amino-2-pentynyl)oxy]phenyl}sulfonyl)-N-hydroxy-2,2-dimethyl-3-thiomorpholine carboxamide as a pale orange solid. Electrospray Mass Spec: 428.3 (M+H)+.
