Combine (R)-3-((2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxolan-4-yl)methyl)-6-fluoro-5-(2-fluoro-4-iodophenylamino)-8-methylpyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidine-4,7(3H,8H)-dione (0.50 g, 0.919 mmol), methanol (5.0 mL) and 6.00 M hydrochloric acid (0.50 mL, 3.0 mmol) and heat to 60° C. After 2 hours, cool to 50° C. and stir for 24 hours, then cool to ambient temperature, filter to collect the solid, rinse with methanol, and dry under vacuum at 30° C. to give the title compound.
