Hydrogen chloride (1.15 ml, 2.30 mmol, 2 M solution in diethyl ether) was added at room temperature to a solution of tert-butyl 4-(2-((1-(4-methoxy-2,6-dimethylphenylsulfonyl)piperidin-2-yl)methoxy)acetyl)piperazine-1-carboxylate (Example 101) (310 mg, 0.574 mmol) in diethyl ether (2-5 ml). The reaction mixture was stirred for 2 h at room temperature and then refluxed for 10 min. The resulting solid was filtered off and dried. Yield: 210 mg (77%), white solid
