2.4 g (9.64 mmol) of the compound of step 3 were dissolved in 40 ml of DMF and 2.49 g (19.27 mmol) of EDIA and 4.03 g (10.60 mmol) of 0-(7-azabenzotriazol-1-yl)-N,N,N′,N′-tetramethyluronium hexafluorophosphate were added. Then a solution of 2.19 g (9.64 mmol) of 2-amino-indane-2-carboxylic acid methyl ester hydrochloride in 10 ml of DMF was added. After stirring overnight, the mixture was evaporated to dryness and the residue purified by preparative RP HPLC (water/ACN gradient). 3.6 g of the title compound were obtained.
