A solution of 0.30 g (0.6 mmol) of 4-{2-[(2-tert-butoxycarbonyl-ethyl)-(3-chloro-4-trifluoromethoxy-phenyl)-amino]-ethylamino}-butyric acid methyl ester in 2 ml of dichloromethane was cooled (0° C.), treated with 3.10 ml (12.4 mmol) of HCl solution (4 M in dioxane) and stirred at RT for 16 h. The solution was evaporated, suspended in acetonitrile and evaporated (3×) to yield 0.33 g (97%) of the title compound as light yellow oil. MS: 427.12 (MH+, Cl).
