4-Methyl-morpholine-4-oxide (280 mg) and tetrapropylammonium perruthenate (36 mg) were added to a solution of 5-[2-(4-bromo-2-chloro-phenyl)-1-hydroxy-propyl]-1,3-dimethyl-1,3-dihydro-benzoimidazol-2-one (424 mg) in DCM (5 ml) with 3 A molecular sieves. The mixture was stirred for 3 h at room temperature, filtered over SiO2 (10 g) and concentrated to give the title compound (410 mg) as a white foam. MS (m/e)=409.1 [M+H+].
