Reaction Steps
11.13 g (0.04 mol) of methyl 4,4′-difluorobenzilate 3d and 5.57 g (0.04 mol) of tropenol are reacted with 0.09 g sodium analogously to Example 3, step 3.2. The product is recrystallized from acetonitrile. Yield: 10.43 g (62% of theory); melting point: 233-235° C.
