Using an analogous method (H5), the title compound was prepared from 3-{4-[(naphthalene-2-carbonyl)-amino]-phenyl}-acrylic acid methyl ester (4c) (0.940 g, 2.16 mmol) and LiOH in a form of white solid (0.757 g, 83%). 1H NMR (DMSO-d6, HMDSO), δ: 6.51 (1H, d, J=16.0 Hz); 7.44-8.22 (12H, m); 8.63 (1H, s); 10.64 (1H, s).
