MsCl (1.0 g) in 20 mL CH2Cl2 was added slowly to a mixture of [6-Methoxy-3-(5-methyl-1H-pyrazol-3-ylamino)-isoquinolin-1-yl]-methanol (11.0 g) and Et3N (1.42 g) in 50 mL CH2Cl2 at 0° C. The reaction mixture was stirred at r.t. for 3 h, and then washed with saturated NaHCO3 (aq) and NaCl(aq). The organic layer was dried over Na2SO4, and concentrated to give the crude product.
