Procedure
To a solution of 36.2 (0.056 g, 0.114 mmol) in THF/MeOH (2/1) (1.5 mL) was added a solution of 1 M lithium hydroxide (0.50 mL, 0.50 mmol). The resulting mixture was stirred overnight at 23° C., and then quenched with excess 1N HCl and extracted with EtOAc. The combined organic layers were dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated. The residue was purified by silica gel chromatography (0 to 40% EtOAc/hexanes) to afford a 36 (0.046 g, 87% yield). MS ESI (neg.) m/e: 463.3 (M−H)+.
