A solution of [4-(3-hydroxyphenyl)-8-(trifluoromethyl)quinolin-3-yl](phenyl)methanone (0.20 g, 0.58 mmol), iodomethane (Example 42, 0.14 g, 1.0 mmol) and K2CO3 (0.41 g, 3 mmol) in acetone (10 ml) was heated to reflux. After 2 hr, the reaction was cooled, filtered, concentrated to give an oil which was purified by column chromatography (eluent 10% EtOAc/hexane) to give a the desired product as a foam (0.10 g, Yield=48%); MS (ESI) m/z 408 ([M+H]+)
