Procedure
A mixture of 2,4-dichloropyrimidin-6-yl carboxylic acid (Method 45) (528 mg, 2.73 mmol), 3-amino-5-methylpyrazole (279 mg, 2.87 mmol) and sodium carbonate (578 mg, 5.46 mmol) was heated in water (10 ml) at 50° C. for 18 hours. The mixture was allowed to cool and the product was collected by filtration, washed with water and dried to give the title compound (430 mg, 77%).
