Reaction Steps
2-(1-Ethyl-1-hydroxy-propyl)-benzofuran-5-carboxylic acid methyl ester (1.01 g, 3.85 mmol) and 2-ethylphenol (0.706 g, 5.77 mmol) and BF3-Et2O (273 mg, 1.925 mmol) are reacted analogous to step D to give the title compound (1.30 g, 92%).
