Methyl trans-4-{[[2-(dimethylamino) ethyl](methyl)amino]-carbonyl}cyclohexanecarboxylate (6.32 g) obtained in Reference Example 83(1) is dissolved in methanol (20 ml), and thereto is added 1 N aqueous sodium hydroxide solution (25 ml). The mixture is stirred at room temperature for 3 hours. To the reaction solution is added 1 N hydrochloric acid (25 ml) and the reaction solution is concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue is lyophilized to give the crude title compound which contains equimolar sodium chloride (6.71 g).
