Reaction Steps

After dissolving 1-Boc-4-aminomethylpiperidine (642 mg, 3 mmol) in THF (8 ml), methyl isothiocyanate (241 mg, 3.3 mmol) was added and the mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight. Upon completion of the reaction, purification was performed by silica gel column chromatography (Hex/AcOEt=1/4) to obtain 4-({[(methylamino)thioxomethyl]amino}methyl)piperidine carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester. The compound was identified by LC-MS.
