Compound 26A (0.10 g, 0.26 mmol) was dissolved in THF and cooled to 0° C. and neopentylmagnesium chloride (1M in diethyl ether, 0.35 mL) was added and the mixture was stirred for 2 hours. The mixture was quenched with NH4Cl saturated solution and extracted with EtOAc. The residue was purified by preparative flash chromatography on silica, eluting with 20-80% gradient of ethyl acetate in hexanes to provide intermediate 26B (0.08 g, 77%).
